Review Comments: The last night in Jamaica, and what a show it was. A short rain shower earlier in the evening looked worrisome, but when showtime came around the skies cleared and we were in for yet another amazing performance. As with the previous shows, Craig Fuller played the entire show, and Hubert Sumlin sat in on a couple of tunes. A smoking “Let It Roll” as the set closer, and “Cajun Girl” as the encore sent us all scrambling to sign up for the 2008 Jamaica Excursion

Review Comments: From the first song on it became clear that the band was in absolute top form on this beautiful night. The “Spanish Moon > Skin It Back > Day At The Dog Races” opener set the stage for some incredible improvisations as well as many familiar tunes. In the second half, blues legend Hubert Sumlin entered the stage and the band locked on to a rare performance of “44 Blues” and “Killing Floor”. A classic!

Review Comments: The closing concert from the first half of the 2007 Feat Fan Excursion in Negril, Jamaica features Craig Fuller on vocals and guitar through the whole show, and a guest appearance – and crushing vocals on “Couldn’t Be Better” – by Vince Herman. Some of the usual suspects (called “Boat Drunks” in Little Feat parlance) joined in on saxophone on the set closer “Fat Man In The Bathtub”, and Howie Golub cranked out a smokin’ harmonica solo on “Rag Mama Rag”. This show sizzles from beginning to end!
